Big city living is a compact lifestyle for many of us. We live and practically work on top of each other in our small homes and condos. Although there are spaces where one can find respite such as the library, the park or the local coffee shop, there are few places we can truly be undisturbed. For women it is doubly so. A piece of solitude shouldn't be a luxury item.

At Good Room we hope to fill that need. A quiet private space away from home to work, rest, recover, hobby and socialize undisturbed.

Membership is billed monthly with 3 tiers of commitment– 1 month, 3 month and 6 month commitments– and enables you to book a single 2.5hr session, per day, from five sessions offered daily.

We also offer single sessions to non-members for $60+ hst

Half and full days available upon request and subject to availability, with discounts for members of Good Room.

A quiet air-conditioned brick&beam studio with 14 ft ceilings, wood floor, soft rug, frosted skylight, white painted brick wall, and a growing collection of plants.
The studio is not part of a larger unit, but it's own space with a door directly to the hall.

Located on the second floor close to the stairwell, but also accessible by elevator via the 276 Carlaw entrance.

General amenities include but are not limited to: a/c - fast wifi - desk and chair - reading chair - 4 folding chairs - coat rack - bar fridge - Brita filter - mugs - kettle - coffee&tea - bluetooth speaker - throws - yoga mat and blocks - meditation cushion - floor mat - non-fiction library - headphones - eyemask - mirror - floor fan - baby change table.

Please note that the elevator is located a several minutes walk through the building.

Communal washrooms are located down the hall.

We wish to support new mothers best we can by providing a change table and wipes, but please note that there is no sink and no washroom in the unit itself.
Waterless hand wash and paper towel is provided.

We offer 3 tiers of membership for private use, billed monthly.

1 month Membership @ $350 +hst

For those that need space or solitude for recovery from an injury, a project to be finished, or just a quiet mental respite after loss.

3 month Membership @ $250 +hst

For those looking to build a new good habit, for seasonal activities, or just need a longer stretch of mental respite from the stress of the world

6 month Membership @ $200 +hst

For those sustaining good habits, the facilitators, or just people that find they enjoy having a room of their own and wish to support a small business with their patronage

• Members of Good Room will be provided access to the online booking calendar each month
• Online Booking requests require 12 hours notice. Same-day requests by members can be made directly by email, and accommodated if the human is free to program an access code
• To ensure the safety of our members, membership is not transferable to others
• Membership at Good Room runs on a monthly schedule starting the first day of each calendar month. Mid-month signups will be pro-rated accordingly.

Access to the space is granted via personalized time-sensitive passcode, with a buffer 1/2hr between clients.

In consideration of fellow tenants, sound rehearsals are not permitted – no electric instruments, acting or loud singing.

We wish to keep the space clean and dry for everyone. No acrylic/oil painting, sculpting, woodwork, cooking or glitter-based activities permitted.

While filming is permitted, we are not soundproof and cannot request the public or other tenants to be quiet.

No pets. No burning incense or candles. No smoke machines. No smoking or drug use. No sex work or pornography. No parties.

No overnight use.

Good Room supports community building! Monthly we offer two evening bookings at no charge for small social gatherings. We comfortable support groups of 6 people so bring your book club or puzzle night to our space. Send us your request today.
