GoodRoom was an idea birthed during the pandemic: what if there was a private safe space for women to work, hobby, heal, rest or socialize undisturbed? Like a spare room that serves many purposes, this one just happens to be outside of your home.

At GoodRoom the space is just yours for the the time you reserve. You are welcome to invite friends to join you of course, social connection is good.

To make GoodRoom a reality (and logistically practical) we offer a limited number of pre-paid blocks of hours to be used as you need them.

We are working on hosting special events (paint-by-numbers afternoons! cheese board demos!) and welcome programming by outside groups as well.

A quiet air-conditioned room with 14 ft ceilings, wood floor, frosted skylight, painted brick wall, and a growing collection of plants.

General amenities include: wifi - desk and chair - reading chair - 4 folding chairs - coat rack - bar fridge - Brita filter - mugs - kettle - coffee&tea - bluetooth speaker - throws - yoga mat and blocks - meditation cushion - floor mat - headphones - eyemask - mirror - floor fan - baby change table.

Located on the second floor close to the stairwell, but also accessible by elevator via the 276 Carlaw entrance. Please note that the elevator is located a several minutes walk through the building.

Communal washrooms are located down the hall.

Sadly there is no sink in the unit, but a waterless hand wash and paper towels is provided.

The space is available 7am - 9pm everyday.

Access to the space is granted via personalized time-sensitive passcode, with a buffer 1/2hr between clients.

In consideration of the following client, you are responsible to return the space to a default arrangement, return amenities to their storage spots, and spot clean any spills or mess.

To ensure the integrity of our vision as a place of wellness and community, we reserve the right to vet users and deny use of the space.

In consideration of our neighbours, sound rehearsals are not permitted – no electric instruments, acting or loud singing.

We wish to keep the space clean and dry for everyone. No acrylic/oil painting, sculpting, woodwork, cooking or glitter-based activities permitted.

No pets. No burning incense or candles. No smoking or drug use. No sex work or pornography. No parties.

We are in soft launch mode and appreciate your patience as we work through how best to serve the community.

• Pre-paid blocks of 12 hours for $300 +hst, to be used up in any combination within 6 weeks.
• Only 5 blocks will be available initially.
• To ensure the safety of our members, hours are not transferable to others.
• The space is also available for $35 per hour +hst for both professional or personal use with a 2 hour minimum.
• Inquiries will be vetted for appropriate use of the space. We reserve the right to decline bookings.
